After visiting Good Question Gallery on Water Street in Brooklyn yesterday I ended up running into this eccentric vinyl store on the corner, funny because I also came across this CD/LP that caught my eye for some reason, it was vintage and random, two things that usually catch my eye.
Didn’t buy the album but it sure had some good sound on it.
watch The Black Power Mixtape, it will broaden your horizon.

This book is with out a doubt a favorite of mine, I feel every adult should read this book and not just read it for entertainment, this book is therapy.
I’m currently working till the sun comes up and couldn’t help but read one of my favorite lines from it.
“each man dreams his own heaven.”
I will continue my life now.

About a week ago now I came across this awesome website called hitrecord.org, a foundation started by Joseph Gordon Levitt as a means of artistic collaborating, writing, art, and music all in one great place. ch-ch-cha-ch-cha check it out.
On a more personal note, I can see “collaborating” is in the works of becoming a big word for the next year and I myself have created a non-profit organization named The Free Thinkers Collaborative , soon to be an Class Vi organization on my college campus, for the means of business and creatives to think, react, and inspire others towards a sense of enlighten meant even if it is some constructive criticism about a resume.
I want people to wake up and feed their mind with useful information and inspiration towards following their dreams.
Sincerely,
JV

A week into the freedom of a college and I say to myself,
“it’s Summer, what now?
I have a ton of plans, and half of those plans consisted of getting a job—if craigslist and my own clientele hold up their side of the workflow, I might survive this summer 9-5 free.
Goals for SUMMER
- learn coding
- create identity
- launch self-coded portfolio site
list looks pretty short but if your a designer you know that coding alone can take up to a year, if anything years… I’ll see if my genius tendencies are up to par for the next 2 months.
Good luck future-self,
JV

This is random I know but the film production company MGM studios (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer,inc) produced one of the most racist films in the 1920’s; Birth of a Nation.
I see why I got an A- in History of Black Americans, and another thing that was more racist in my opinion then the film is the fact that my University doesn’t consider my History of a Black American class as a General Requirement for History in America… a damn shame…
All in all, I will have countless hours to contribute back to this blog in the coming week. prepare for design extravaganazaazaaaah.

I’ve been extremely busy the past week. Did graphics for a baseball game broadcast. Working live as the TV networks shows me how stressful yet exciting working like that could be full-time. I love it. I’ll try and post pictures of it this week.
This is a booklet I designed for my study abroad class, London was a great experience without a doubt. I’m trying to pay homage… to the design, to the people, and to the experience.

This is how faces appear to me during finalsweek.

I have been focused for the past week, my social skills have lacked because of it.
